We launched #MyKindHero campaign in a bid to find the UK’s kindest person and spread positivity across the country. Open to members of the public to nominate family, friends, colleagues or themselves with a reason why they deserve to be crowned the #MYKINDHERO.

Our winner, Jo Newby was nominated for her impressive fostering work. She has fostered 92 children over a period of 18 years and even set up 3 pan-disability football teams in the process.

A statue celebrating all of Jo's achievements was unveiled on London’s iconic Southbank. The campaign was picked up far and wide, with over 17 different nationals and various broadcast channels including Radio 5 Live and ITV Yorkshire.
