To cut through seasonal noise and reinforce Simply Business as the insurer in the corner of small business owners.

WHAT WE DID

Despite their economic prominence, small businesses remain the hardest hit from Covid-19. Christmas 2021 was a lifeline – one in five didn’t expect to survive 2022 without a good Christmas trading period. In fact, Christmas is so important to small business owners, they wish it could be Christmas Everyday. We set out to re-record the song with a choir of small business owners and a few recognisable faces.

As SME owners sang their hearts out for survival, it set the stage for Simply Business to call on the country to support SMEs long-term.


The result? Hundreds of media headlines reaching billions, the creation of a Small Business Christmas Choir, the re-recording of I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday, one music video and millions of views. The video was Simply Business’ most successful organic post to date.
