WHAT WE DID

Supermarkets are misleading consumers, with British flags and fake farm names masking the true origins of our food. This is Farmwashing and it leaves British farmers out of pocket and squeezed to breaking point. We discovered 61% are likely to give up their farms in the next 18 months.


The campaign launched with an open letter to the UK's major supermarkets, calling for an end to Farmwashing. The letter was signed by over 100 leading figures including cross-party MPs, celebs and industry bodies.


We created a docu-series fronted by TV presenter Jimmy Doherty to shine a light on the impact supermarket Farmwashing has on British farmers and calling for urgent action, which has had over 12 million views to date.

The Results

The campaign resulted in Farmwashing being discussed in Parliament and over 10,000 letters being sent by the public to their MPs, demanding that the new government takes action to ensure fairer, more honest behaviour from supermarkets.
